Terms of Service

This page is being finalised with legal review. Below is a summary of what it will cover.

Terms of Service

Draft - pending legal review. This is the working version. Bordercase will publish final reviewed terms before scaled launch. By using bordercase.com you agree to operate within these principles today.

What Bordercase is

Bordercase is a structured cross-border case assessment and coordination service. We are not a law firm. We do not provide regulated legal, tax, or fiduciary advice. We coordinate with licensed partners (immigration lawyers, tax professionals, regulated fiduciaries, banks, corporate-services providers) where regulated advice is needed.

What Bordercase is not

  • We do not guarantee visa, residency, banking, citizenship, tax, or any other outcome
  • We do not sell passports
  • We do not represent that any route, jurisdiction, or programme is currently available beyond what we describe in your specific proposal
  • We do not provide investment advice

Your account

  • You confirm the information you submit is accurate to your knowledge
  • You will not impersonate others or submit deliberately misleading data
  • You are responsible for keeping your magic-link email secure

Communications

When you start onboarding you accept these Terms, which include consent to receive marketing and promotional emails from Bordercase. You can unsubscribe at any time from your dashboard or any email footer. Transactional emails (case updates, proposals, receipts, account events) will continue regardless of your marketing preference.

Proposals, payment, and refunds

  • A proposal becomes binding only when you accept it and (where applicable) pay the deposit
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Refund eligibility is described in the relevant proposal. Work already performed by us or by engaged licensed partners is not refundable
  • Where a licensed partner is engaged, that engagement is governed by the partner's own terms

Partner advisers

Where regulated advice is needed (immigration filings, tax opinions, fiduciary roles), Bordercase introduces and coordinates with licensed independent partners. The licensed partner is the regulated provider for that work, not Bordercase. Their advice and any liability sit with them under their own engagement letter.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Bordercase is not liable for:

  • Decisions made by governments, banks, or other counterparties
  • Acts or omissions of licensed partners (each is independently regulated)
  • Indirect, consequential, or special losses

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the fees you paid Bordercase in the prior 12 months.

Governing law

These terms will be governed by the law of the Bordercase operating entity's jurisdiction (to be specified in the final policy). Disputes will follow that jurisdiction's courts unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.

Changes

We will revise these terms when the service changes. Continued use after publication of an updated version means you accept it. For material changes affecting your active case, we will notify you by email.
